Cooperstown and Otsego County
Cooperstown, in the heart of Otsego County New York, is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the East Coast. Most people know it as the home of the Baseball Hall of Fame, but to us locals, it's much more.
The Otsego County area is a Mid-Atlantic riding paradise. If you are planning to visit Cooperstown, you might regret if if you don't bring a bicycle. (Well you can always rent one from us!)
Road riders (we prefer "roadies") should take a look at our locally authored 'Cranks From Cooperstown'. 'Cranks' is a comprehensive guide to riding on the local roads in the area, and is a great reference no matter what your skill or interest level.
Mountain bikers, and other off-road riders can e-mail us for trail information and updates or check out nearby Plattekill Mountain, a world renowned downhill course in the heart of the Catskill mountains.
Be sure to check out our listing of local events, and local links. Team Velosophy is on track for a great 2002 season as well, so keep your eyes on these great local riders!
